City Recorder

The City Recorder directs, monitors, and ensures compliance with state and local law including open meetings laws with respect to official records and actions taken by the Vernal City Council and other public bodies, government records access and management; processes, compiles, and maintains City ordinances, resolutions, minutes, agreements, and other records; serves as the City's Election Officer and is responsible for the administration of municipal elections;  and provides general support to the Mayor, City Council, public bodies, and citizen committees and boards. Elections

The City Recorder is the local official who administers the municipal elections, and will be accepting declaration of candidacy forms starting on June 1, 2023 thru June 7, 2023.

New Laws

The City Recorder is also the custodian of the City Seal and is responsible for the publication of any new laws approved by the City Council.
