The mission of the Vernal City Parks Department is to beautify and enhance the experience of urban life in the City of Vernal. Our mission is to make and keep Vernal, "A Beautiful Place to Live." We maintain over 1,600 flower planters throughout the primary Vernal corridor.
The Freestone Legacy Walking Park is located at 800 West & 500 North in Vernal. It is a quiet safe place to enjoy a “walk around the park”. The land was donated by the Freestone family with restrictions to protect the park and ensure the park is used for its intended purpose for the community to walk freely without closures, events or obstructions. Planned events such as weddings, walk-a-thons or social activities are not allowed at the park. A complete list of rules and regulations are posted at the west park entrance and also on the Vernal City Website.
