The Vernal City Street Department is a division of the Vernal Public Works Department, and is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 47 miles of public city streets. The department constructs, repairs and maintains City residential streets, collector and arterial roads, and is the primary response unit in weather events, such as heavy rain, snow and ice.
The Street department also maintains the city's civic presentation through a street sweeping program along with the street pole banners, decorations along the primary Main street corridor, and the large Tyrannosaurus Rex located at 800 West Main Street which is also decorated as time permits.
Visit the Planning Department if you plan to construct a private street.
Street lights in the City of Vernal are maintained by Rocky Mountain Power. Any street light problems should be reported to them using their Street Light Outage form.
