City-Sponsored Social Media Guidelines
The City of Vernal recognizes that social media can enhance communication between City government and citizens. City of Vernal social media sites are used to: (1) increase the City’s ability to broadcast its messages to the widest possible audience, (2) provide public information updates, and (3) disseminate time-sensitive information as quickly as possible.
BASIC GUIDELINES:
Vernal City reserves the right to remove content that is in violation of it’s social media policy
All contributors are to be respectful of others
All contributors are to avoid using profane language or content
Although social media channels are regularly monitored; social media channels should not be used as a way to communicate emergency information to the City
